The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department has added another brick to its wall of achievements by obtaining the "European Specification Certificate on Innovation Management System (TS16555)", becoming  the first government legal entity in the world to obain this prestigious certificate in the field of building an integrated administrative system to boost innovation in legal work. The certificate was awarded  after the Department passed thorough technical assessments and audit tests, in December 2016.

The award was presented by the German Registration Authority (TUV Intercert).  During the award ceremony,  his Excellency Dr Lowai Mohamed Belhoul, Director General of the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department stated  that this achievement is part of the continued efforts exerted by the Department to create a  workplace  conducive to innovation and creativity and,  its continued drive   towards achieving excellence and pioneering in government legal work. He pointed out that the approach of the Department, in innovatively and creatively providing Government legal services is a solid  example inspired by the visionary leadership of the UAE which aims to make the country one of the most innovative in the world during the next seven years. Consequently, the Department created an integrated innovation strategy to foster a work place that encourages innovation and creativity and provides staff with the support they need to allow them to take part in generating, developing and carrying out ideas innovatively, in line with Dubai Plan 2021, the National Innovation Strategy and the UAE Vision 2021.

Dr. Lowai extended his congratulations to all employees for this great achievement, and explained that this was the fruit of a concerted team effort from all staff, who collectively played a pivotal role in building and implementing the Innovation Holistic System. This system  contributes to fostering a culture of innovation and creating an environment conducive to innovative and creative thinking on an individual and corporate level. His Excellency stressed that senior management is confident that continuing to effectively implement this system will have a positive impact on modernisation and continued development of the Department's work processes to ensure that  the quality of services provided exceeds expectations.
