It is an honor and privilege to extend my sincerest appreciation and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, for the kind patronage and support shown to the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department, which was established owing to his visionary leadership and insightful guidance.
Through the embodiment of His Highness vision and the implementation of his aspirations to lead the Emirate in all economic, social and developmental sectors, the Department, since its inception in 2008 seeks to enhance and develop the legal framework of the Government. Thus improving and broadening the legal services provided to our clients that meet the overall developing demands of the Emirate of Dubai
The Department is committed to enhancing the management of all complaints made against Government entities, to ensure all complaints are settled amicably. The Department further represents all Government entities in the Emirate of Dubai with their claims and disputes before competent judicial authorities, reconciliation committees and arbitration centers. In addition to this, the Department undertakes its mandate to regulate the licensing of advocacy and legal consultancy firms in the Emirate of Dubai.
The Department fully recognises the responsibility entrusted to it and constantly strives to achieve excellence in government legal work in the Emirate of Dubai. The trust of our visionary leadership continually drives our desire to strengthen our relationships with our strategic partners and to enhance the legal services provided by the Department. This reflects the insight of our wise leadership, keeps pace with the process of smart development, boosts innovation and forward thinking, and aligns us with international best practices.
This website serves as a medium of effective communication with Government entities and legal practitioners and various clients of the Department. This enables clients to easily and effectively submit and follow up on their requests and access the electronic services provided by the Department. The Department is also committed to taking into account their feedback for the purposes of continuous improvement and development. Cumulatively, this will all contribute to bringing happiness to the Department's clients.
