Legal Affairs Department briefs Paris University on Continuing Legal Professional Development Programme for Legal Consultants
His Excellency Dr. Lowai Belhoul – Director General of the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department welcomed, at his office, Professor Guillaume Leyte, President of the University of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas) and Professor Nada Mourtada-Sabbah, Vice Chancellor for the Development and Alumni Affairs of the American University of Sharjah and Secretary General of the University Leadership Consortium in the UAE.
Dr. Belhoul highlighted the importance of this meeting that comes as part of improved collaboration with academic and research institutions in the field of legal training. His Excellency illustrated the experience of the Department in legal training; chiefly, the CLPD Programme launched by the Department in the Emirate of Dubai. He added that this programme seeks not only to raise the standard of legal services, but also helps the Department keep pace with all levels of development in the Emirate and, achieve the highest levels of confidence in recipients of those legal services.
All parties reiterated the importance of continued collaboration, communication and consolidated efforts in the field of legal training and knowledge sharing in order to stay at the forefront of developments in research and academia.
