Legal Affairs Department launches new smart services in GITEX Technology 2015
The Government of Dubai, Legal Affairs Department has launched a range of smart service initiatives at Gitex Technology 2015.
The Department's participation at the exhibition held at the Dubai World Trade Centre is aimed at implementing the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to transform all the services it offers into smart services.
The Department extended an invitation to all legal professionals and users of the Departments smart services to visit the exhibition to learn more about each unique smart application, and to demonstrate the usability of the smart application and the ease of submitting through the smart service to save time and effort.
His Excellency Dr Lowai Belhoul, Director General of the Legal Affairs Department, emphasised that the Department is keen to convert all of its services into smart services and harness its potential technical and human resources to extend the accessibility of its services to meet the needs of the users and to raise the standard and quality of the services provided to the public.
His Excellency further noted that that the Department has launched all services in Arabic and English, notably the "Ask a Lawyer " smart service, which enables the user to receive answers from advocates or legal consultants enrolled with the Department and licensed to practice the legal profession in the Emirate of Dubai.
The smart applications launched include the "Dubai smart legal forum", which is an online forum for advocates and legal consultants registered with the Department and licensed to practice the legal profession in the Emirate of Dubai to engage in legal discussions and post information on topics and issues related to their legal work, cultivating a positive exchange of knowledge among the profession.
The smart application also includes the "smart appointment" This smart service enables the user to download the application on their smart devices and book an appointment with the Department in a short period of time. Upon arriving at the Department the user will be welcomed by receiving a notification containing details of the meeting venue, waiting time and name of the personnel who will meet with them.
The launch of all the Deparments' smart services contribute to the Department's ongoing strategy of creating interactive, intelligent communication methods that help achieve the highest quality in the services provided to its customers.
