​Within a framework of mutual cooperation and coordination between the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department and Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC), a consultation meeting was held on 23/11/2014 at the Legal Affairs Department's head office, His Highness The Ruler's Court. The meeting was attended by His Excellency, Dr. Lowai Mohamed Belhoul, Director General of the Legal Affairs Department and His Excellency, Abdulla Al Awar, Chief Executive Officer of DIEDC. The meeting focused on topics of mutual interest in order to enhance the status of Dubai as a pioneer in the field of Islamic economy, which closely aligns with the "Dubai: Capital of Islamic Economy" initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

His Excellency, Abdulla Al Awar commended the legal services provided by the Legal Affairs Department to DIEDC and expressed his wishes to further enhance bilateral cooperation and develop innovative partnerships to foster a promising economic future.
At the end of the meeting, His Excellency, Dr. Lowai reaffirmed the Legal Affairs Department's commitment and endeavour to providing comprehensive legal support to DIEDC and other Government entities in the Emirate of Dubai to enable them to achieve their objectives and exercise their powers. Dr. Lowai expressed his wishes that DIEDC would progress and prosper to enhance Dubai's status as a global hub for Islamic economy
