To Mark World Creativity and Innovation Day, the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department raises awareness among its employees of innovation tools in future foresight

The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department held a workshop for its employees, with the esteemed presence of His Excellency the Director General Dr. Lowai Mohammed Belhoul, on innovation tools in shaping future trends and visions. This initiative underscores the Department's ongoing efforts to leverage innovation as a key enabler for the advancement of government work and to reinforce the values of institutional excellence through creative ideas, aligning with the wise leadership's directives to promote and cultivate a culture of innovation across all segments of society, and in reflecting a national strategy that bolsters the UAE's standing in investing in innovative practices across diverse sectors and fields.

The workshop, held in conjunction with World Creativity and Innovation Day on April 21st, was presented by certified innovation trainer Mohammed Ahmed Al Hammadi. The session introduced the tools tailored to stimulate proactive and creative thinking by generating and developing innovative ideas, and the outlining of future scenarios. This is particularly important given the evolving reality that necessitates the study of different variables and the analysis of trends to capitalize on opportunities and address challenges, ultimately fostering institutional capabilities grounded in a comprehensive future vision and the core values of creativity and innovation.

Al Hammadi highlighted the significance of brainstorming sessions as a key methodology and tool for future foresight in government work. He explained that these sessions, built on collective thinking and collaboration among teams, serve as a catalyst for creativity and the emergence of effective, innovative ideas for continuous development and improvement, thereby fostering an environment that nurtures creative ideas and integrates them into the institution's culture.

His Excellency Dr. Lowai Mohammed Belhoul emphasized the importance of innovation as a key driver for continuous development in government work and for solidifying the values of institutional excellence through pioneering and creative ideas that elevate performance indicators and anticipate the future. This is especially vital in the legal field, which constantly deals with new challenges and changes. The Department is always eager to be part of events like this and to various enablers that embed a culture of innovation in its practices year-round, whether in its interactions with employees, while serving the public, or when engaging with clients
