"Legal Affairs Department" holds a Training Workshop on Change Management in the Implementation of Government Services Policy

In implementing Dubai Government strategy to meet its customers' expectations based on best global competitiveness indicators, the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department held a workshop attended by heads of its organizational units and the technical team responsible for developing government services. The Workshop tackled the basics of change management in implementing the 'Services 360' Policy, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council.

The Workshop, presented by Dr Juma Obaid AlFalasi, the team leader of Government Services Policy and 'Services 360' delivery channels in collaboration with the Government Service Designers' Team and the Technical Infrastructure Committee of the Department, focused on informing the leadership team and relevant employees about the policy objectives in providing digital, proactive and integrated services, in accordance with clear parameters in designing and managing government services that anticipates customers' needs, and ensure obtaining the best services using minimal effort and time. This applies for services provided by one entity or joint services that are based on a unified point of contact.

Discussions during the workshop highlighted that change management in government service policy is largely dependent on enabling digital transformation and using artificial intelligence through effective tools that can meet the requirements of digitization in providing services, respond to current and future customer needs and expectations, provide the most efficient and user-friendly channels, as well as streamline procedures and provide added value to customers in their experience to promote excellence in corporate performance, and raise indicators of customer happiness.

The workshop also highlighted that the provision of government services interconnected with several entities not only enhances the opportunities for integration between those entities but also contributes to achieving the strategic goals of the Government of Dubai, and establishes frameworks for effective partnerships between the government and private sectors, in a manner that serves customers of all categories, and help achieve the strategic directions in the performance management system and ensure its continuous improvement.

The Executive Team in charge of implementing the Government Services Policy and the 'Services 360' delivery channels in the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department affirmed that the Department is proceeding with clear visions in implementing this Policy through all its legal services, whether those provided to government entities, the legal profession or members of society. The approach adopted by the Department reflects the vision of our leadership, and directions of the Government of Dubai, in providing excellent services that ensure the Department's readiness for the future.
