LAD Organised a Remote Lecture Titled “Emirati Women, a Continued Source of Giving in the UAE”

​The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department, organised a remote lecture by Dr. Mona Al Bahar, Advisor to the Chairman of the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi and Professor of Well Being at the United Arab Emirates University. The lecture was attended by His Excellency Dr. Lowai Mohamed Belhoul, Director General of the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department.

The lecture included a speech by His Excellency Dr. Belhoul, during which he stressed the keenness of the astute leadership to empower Emirati women as active partners in all fields, active participants in the country's development journey and as individuals who are always ready to respond to national and humanitarian duties. His Excellency added that the patriotic contributions of Emirati women will live on in the memory of the Nation.

Dr. Belhoul expressed his heartfelt congratulations to every Emirati woman and to all women employees of the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department for their loyal and devoted contribution to the Department's work.

For her part, Dr. Mona Al-Bahr confirmed that the United Arab Emirates has a clear strategy for empowering women. She explained that this strategy is based on the concept of gender equality in building the nation, in a manner that encourages work-family balance, and allows them to perform their societal role as well. Dr. Mona stressed that families are the pinnacle of contribution to the nation, and is a development vision that relies on the role of women in empowering society.

Dr. Al-Bahr, shed light on the role of women in providing ensuring a high quality of life. She explained that this can be attained through awareness of the basic elements that provide society with a stable life in light of the recent successive cultural changes, and through the ability to adapt to the consequences that may stem from such changes.

Finally, Dr. Mona Al-Bahr concluded her lecture by extending her thanks to the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department for inviting her to join its employees in celebrating this national occasion.
