Legal Affairs Department calls on customers to use smart services to submit applications

As part of the precautionary and preventive measures being taken to limit the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and stemming from its concern for the safety of its employees and customers, the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department has called on all its customers to use its legal services through  the available smart platforms.

All services provided by the Department to Government Entities, legal professionals, and members of the public in the Emirate of Dubai are accessible via the Department's website and smart applications without the need to visit the Department's premises in order to submit one's application.

His Excellency Dr. Lowai Mohamed Belhoul, Director General of the Department, pointed out that the safety of the Department's employees and customers is a top priority for the Department, and that the Department is committed to continuity of its business and the provision of its services, while also maintaining the wellbeing of the society.

Dr. Belhoul asserted that the Department is digitally prepared to make use of technology to provide its smart services, in line with technological best practices and with the Dubai Government' strategy of digital transformation. Via its advanced IT system, the Department provides easy, efficient and quick access to all its services such as to meet the expectations of its customers.

On the other hand, the Department has launched remote work procedures for some of its employees as part of the occupational safety precautionary measures taken by Government Departments. The procedures developed by the Department specified employees who can benefit from this system, and they include pregnant women, the elderly, people of determination, and employees who suffer from chronic diseases or immunodeficiency disorders. These procedures also apply to mothers whose children are will commence distance learning, so as to ensure a healthy, safe and secure work environment.
