His Excellency Dr. Lowai Mohamed Belhoul, Director General of the Government of Dubai, Legal Affairs Department, said that the celebration of Emirati Women's Day, which falls on August 28th annually, is an occasion to hail the efforts of the Emirati women who play a leading role in nation-building and act as a major driving force behind the rise of the country.

Dr. Lowai Belhoul said that this is a landmark occasion in the UAE calendar, which was launched by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood "The Mother of the Nation".

He added that the celebration this year will be under the theme 'Women, Icons of Tolerance', which embodies the profound indications of the distinguished status of the Emirati woman who represent a unique model for tolerance in the society.

Dr. Lowai Belhoul the achievements of UAE women in the legal sector, which has come as the product of the pride, appreciation and support granted to them by the astute leadership.  This empowerment paved the way for Emirati women to achieve success and engage in various fields of work making the UAE an excellent example of women's empowerment in the world.

Dr. Lowai Belhoul expressed his pride in the successes achieved by Emirati women in various fields of the legal sector, where they have demonstrated their competence by contributing to the achievement of equity and reasserting the principle of the rule of law. This is clearly reflected in the increase in the number of female advocates registered on the roll of practising lawyers in the Emirate of Dubai (until the second quarter of this year, the number of female advocates and legal consultants has reached 270).
