The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department honours its employees who submitted innovative suggestions and ideas
The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department held a ceremony to honour its employees who have played a vital role in submitting their innovative suggestions and ideas through the Holistic Innovation System. This system, which was developed by the Department in order to provide an effective channel to receive ideas and suggestions, was implemented via the ignited thinking methodology in order to facilitate ideas and suggestions in an innovative manner that would strengthen the Department's plans and programmes which aim to provide creative and innovative government legal services in line with international best practices.
This recognition comes as part of the motivation and recognition policy adopted by the Department to encourage and motivate employees in all categories to submit their ideas and suggestions and raise them from the level of "conventional idea" to the level of "real innovation".
The ceremony included the launch of the evolving innovation strategy of the Department 2019-2021, which contains ambitious goals aligned with Dubai Plan 2021, particularly with regard to the strategic objectives of Dubai Plan 2021, "A city of happy, creative and empowered people". This is in conjunction with the directives of the astute leadership aimed at promoting the image of Dubai as a global hub for innovation through building capabilities and fostering an innovation culture in the UAE, and motivating government entities to adopt innovative practices and launch and implement innovative initiatives and ideas throughout the country.
In his speech, His Excellency Dr. Lowai Mohammed Belhoul, Director General of the Department highlighted the senior leadership's commitment to exert all efforts to provide the tools required for building, promoting and entrenching an innovation culture and practices within the Department's work environment.
Dr. Belhoul reaffirmed that "We, in the Department, attach great importance to encouraging and honouring creative employees to motivate them to come up with constructive ideas. To this end, the Department provides all opportunities required for improving performance levels especially with regard to submitting ideas and suggestions that constitute the nucleus of development. Accordingly, we can have an overview of the challenges employees face and respond to their expectations".
The ceremony concluded with the award of certificates of appreciation to the employees who have contributed with their innovative suggestions and ideas in accordance with the policy of motivation and recognition of the Holistic Innovation System adopted by the Department.
