LAD participates in “A Week without Service Centres” Initiative
The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department is taking part in "A Week without Service Centres" which was approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to encourage customers to use smart channels in accessing government services.
His Excellency Dr Lowai Belhoul, Director General of the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department reaffirmed the Department's stride towards making Dubai the smartest and happiest city on earth and promoting the transformation to smart channels. To achieve this, for one week, starting 21 October, the Department will provide its services to legal practitioners through electronic channels and Smart Apps only.
Dr. Lowai pointed out that transactions which require clients to be present at the Department's customer service centres will not be accepted during this week. Instead all transactions, including the payment processes, will be processed through the Legal Profession System via the Department's Website or the updated Smart App. The Department will also seek to raise awareness among its clients regarding the importance of using electronic channels to carry out their transactions.
