The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department Held Its “X10” Retreat to Discuss Innovation and Forward Thinking
The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department (Department) held its "X10" Innovation and Forward-Thinking Retreat presided over by His Excellency Dr. Lowai Mohamed Belhoul, Director General of the Department, and attended by senior managers of the Department and a number of employees from various organizational units.
This two-day retreat is part of the Department's efforts to implement the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai through the "X10" initiative launched in 2017 to encourage government entities to become more innovative, forward thinking and motivate them to build the future by generating "out-of-the-box" ideas that will create a significant change in the system of government work and contribute to building the future of Dubai.
During this retreat, the attendees started with highlighting the future trends in the world and the Emirate of Dubai in particular. The attendees exchanged innovative and "out-of-the-box' views and ideas which the Department can adopt to be a key partner in implementing the directives of the astute leadership for building the future and achieving the Dubai Vision to become "the city of the future". For that purpose, the attendees relied on the ignited thinking approach, which boosts the generation and acceleration of ideas to simulate the future, and contribute to the sustainability of the competitiveness of Dubai.
At the end of the retreat, the attendees agreed upon a number of ideas and innovative mechanisms with a view to implementing future models aimed at improving the quality of the government's legal services as provided by the Department to keep pace with the latest technologies and innovations, and apply the world best practices and innovative solutions to allow the Department to be 10 years ahead of the world.
