Employees of the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department celebrated Flag Day in response to a call by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai to raise the UAE flag. One thousand flags were distributed to visitors to the Dubai Museum.

On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Lowai Mohamed Belhoul, Director General of the Department, said that this celebration is profoundly significant to our UAE identity which we are proud of – and even more so as it coincides with the anniversary of the Accession Day of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Dr. Belhoul added, this initiative reflects the commitment to strengthening national identity and cohesion between UAE nationals and residents.

The Flag Day, Dr. Lowai stressed, marks national achievements and a cultural revival that has impressed the world, thanks to the visionary leadership that has further consolidated the status of the state, globally.

On this occasion, His Excellency extended his warmest compliments and congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and their Highnesses, Supreme Council Members, Rulers of the Emirates: "We pledge before our visionary leadership to work diligently to preserve our national achievements and keep the UAE Flag flying everywhere."
